This role sits within Goldman Sachs’s Asset Management division and offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced Event Marketing professional to join a dynamic team. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, and comes with an attractive salary range of $110,000 to $230,000, reflecting the significance and seniority of the role within the firm.

The Event Marketing professional will play a central role in planning and executing proprietary events and sponsorship programs that span all asset classes. This includes large-scale conferences, intimate roundtables, client receptions, and industry sponsorship engagements. The primary aim of the role is to enhance Goldman Sachs’s brand presence, deepen client relationships, and support business objectives through meticulously planned and flawlessly executed events.

Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to handle complex projects while managing a wide array of senior internal and external stakeholders. The individual will be responsible for developing insightful event programs that align with business goals, market trends, and client needs. From concept development through execution to post-event analysis, the role demands a hands-on approach to managing the entire event lifecycle.

In addition to overseeing event logistics and budgets to maximize return on investment, this role also involves negotiating favorable terms with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that the firm receives outstanding value. Collaboration is key, as the Event Marketing professional will work closely with marketing, sales, and investment teams to create compelling content, prepare speakers, and promote events effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in event marketing

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive event and sponsorship programs aligned with business goals
  • Drive planning, coordination, and execution of diverse events from concept to post-event analysis
  • Own the end-to-end client experience ensuring seamless and elevated interactions
  • Build strong relationships and manage expectations with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee event budgets ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, venues, and suppliers
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and investment teams to develop event content and promotional materials
  • Track, analyze, and report on event performance metrics with recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure all events reflect the firm’s brand identity and standards
  • Independently manage multiple projects demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities
