Job Requirements

must be 18 years or older
authorization to work in the united states or ability to obtain it
successful completion of background check
strong customer service skills
ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions with hands and/or feet
able to reach, carry, push, or lift weights as required
able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions
able to comply with safety standards and use personal protective equipment
willing to work varied shifts
able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 250 pounds with assistance

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or ged preferred
0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
strong customer service skills
exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities
ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns according to company guidelines
bilingual in english and spanish preferred

Job Duties

offer product samples and respond to customer questions
assist customers in finding or suggesting products
fulfill customer requests and special orders
promote trust and respect among associates by fostering teamwork and communication
adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
maintain inventory and storage awareness and report discrepancies
inspect product quality and freshness and take appropriate action
prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
use production planning tools to accurately produce fresh products
follow discard or markdown processes to minimize losses
ensure products are kept at proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs
uphold company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity
comply with all food safety and regulatory requirements including USDA, COOL, and DOA
execute product recalls promptly ensuring customer safety
reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
notify management of any accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities
ensure wage and hour policies compliance
cultivate a culture of safety within the store
guarantee all associates receive necessary safety training and use personal protective equipment
ensure safety hazard assessments and PPE availability and usage
maintain equipment in good condition and assist with hazard remediation
perform other job-related tasks as assigned
