Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
successful completion and verification of background check
strong customer service skills
operate bakery equipment in accordance with company guidelines
ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand and foot movements
ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasional lifting of up to 250 pounds with assistance
willingness to work various shifts including occasional nights
adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
commitment to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
0 to 3 years of supervisory or retail experience preferred
strong customer service skills
excellent interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
ability to operate bakery equipment safely including slicers, ovens, scales, and pricing guns
bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Job Duties

Create a welcoming environment for customers to feel appreciated and important
maintain daily availability, freshness, quality, and value of bakery products on shelves
offer product samples and assist customers with product questions and suggestions
fulfill customer requests and special orders
promote teamwork and communicate important information across the department
maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies
inspect product freshness and quality and take appropriate actions
prepare, package, label, and display bakery products for sale
ensure all products are stored at appropriate temperatures following food safety guidelines
comply with food safety, sanitation, and productivity standards
execute timely product recalls and removals ensuring items are protected from customers
report and help remediate safety hazards
ensure compliance with wage and hour policies
cultivate a culture of safety and ensure all associates receive necessary safety training
use bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, and pricing equipment according to company guidelines
perform other related duties as assigned
