Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or related cleaning role preferred
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding guest information
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be physically capable of performing cleaning tasks and standing for extended periods
- Ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to company policies
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Customer service oriented
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Job Duties
- Maintain a positive and optimistic personality with a desire to provide excellent customer service and cleanliness
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance and behavior, wearing approved uniform and nametag
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality in all areas, providing guests with the highest level of trust
- Exhibit a professional sense of urgency while cleaning rooms and public spaces to meet budgeted time goals
- Clean and stock all rooms as assigned, including changing bed linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, storing supplies, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms
- Keep supervisor informed of room status in a timely manner
- Greet guests encountered on hotel property
- Comply strictly with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Receive complete training in safety, alcohol, health and safety
- Follow all guidelines regarding OSHA, chemical handling, fire safety, and health protocols
- Maintain clean and well-organized workspace, storage rooms, and cleaning carts
- Work in an organized manner following step-by-step processes
- Observe and report condition of furniture, walls, moldings, carpets, and appliances
- Keep communication lines open within housekeeping department
- Participate in daily and staff meetings
- Adhere to key control guidelines
- Assist in annual and seasonal deep cleaning tasks
- Handle lost and found items according to company procedures
- Assist in training new staff
- Support a positive and pleasant work environment
- Be knowledgeable about hotel products and services
- Perform other assigned duties
