Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, especially in Chinese cuisine, is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Adaptability to work in different kitchen environments
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Job Duties

  • Prepare food with a focus on quality for the Chinese food area of the delicatessen
  • Use a variety of cooking tools, utensils, and products to create mixes, sauces, meals, and more
  • Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining clean, safe cooking and prep areas
  • Manage inventory and order the right ingredients and supplies regularly
  • Engage with customers by providing fast and friendly customer service
  • Maintain kitchen organization and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Adapt to varying environments within the kitchen such as freezer, fridge, and food prep areas
