Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing 75 pounds or more to support bar operations
- Ability to perform continual bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume bar environment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be dependable with a positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or free-standing lounge environment is preferred
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining efficiency and accuracy under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Job Duties
- Replenish and restock the bar with liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies throughout the shift
- Assist bartenders with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts or events
- Prepare garnishes such as lemon, lime, and orange wedges, as well as other drink essentials like cherries and olives
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by washing and drying glassware, wiping down surfaces, and removing trash regularly
- Keep the bar organized, ensuring tools, equipment, and supplies are easily accessible
- Clear dirty glasses and empty drinkware from guest tables and bar counters
- Monitor stock levels and alert bartenders or management when supplies are running low
- Provide friendly assistance to guests with basic requests or questions
- Support bartenders during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for beverage handling and bar cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and regulations
- Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
