Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in artisan bread baking or a related bakery role
  • Ability to operate commercial bakery equipment safely
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

Job Duties

  • Fulfill the role of an Artisan Bread Baker by preparing, mixing, shaping, and baking a wide range of products, including various breads, pastries, cookies, and desserts, ensuring adherence to the highest quality and safety standards
  • Operate and maintain specialized bakery equipment, such as ovens, commercial mixers, bread slicers, and proofers, following all safety protocols
  • Decorate and finish cakes and other desserts with creativity and precision to meet customer expectations
  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with patrons, answering product questions, and sharing your passion for the baked goods
  • Ensure the bakery department's display cases and shelves are consistently clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with fresh products
  • Monitor product freshness and inventory levels, assisting with receiving and rotating stock as needed
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the bakery area, adhering to all food safety and health regulations
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to achieve department goals and uphold the company's commitment to quality
