Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (6+ hours)
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of food trays, glassware, and supplies (up to 25 lbs)
  • Occasional lifting of heavier banquet trays or wine cases (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity for handling glassware, silverware, and wine service tools
  • Ability to navigate dining room spaces efficiently and safely while carrying trays
  • Clear vision and hearing to interact with guests and staff in varying environments

Job Qualifications

  • Previous upscale dining server experience required
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and upscale food service techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
  • Food handler and responsible beverage service (RBS/TIPS) certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Job Duties

  • Provide attentive, gracious, and personalized service to all guests in a fine dining setting
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, wine pairings, and specialty cocktails
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, input into POS system, and ensure timely delivery of all items
  • Maintain knowledge of daily specials, seasonal offerings, and chef-driven features
  • Uphold elevated etiquette, including proper serving sequences, table maintenance, and polished presentation standards
  • Partner with culinary and bar teams to ensure flawless guest experiences
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of assigned sections
  • Handle guest concerns and requests with professionalism and urgency, escalating issues when necessary
  • Assist with side work, restocking, polishing glassware and silverware, and setting up service stations
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
