Job Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work
  • Proven experience in human resources management
  • Working knowledge of wage, salary, employment and benefits administration
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient with computer applications and basic computational skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle stressful or emergency situations with composure
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends if required
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as described

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in human resources management within hospitality or related industries
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Strong communication, coaching and counseling skills
  • Experience with employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Ability to manage payroll and benefits administration
  • Proficient computer skills including data analysis and payroll software
  • Leadership experience supporting and motivating teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Job Duties

  • Plan and manage human resources functions including employment, wage and salary administration, benefits, training, employee/labor relations, organizational development and payroll
  • Support day-to-day HR processes and assist Director of HR in implementing hotel strategy
  • Coach and counsel recruits, and participate in hiring and retaining the best employees
  • Maintain and administer celebrations, reward and recognition programs and training strategies
  • Act as liaison between hotel staff and ownership as needed
  • Facilitate open employee communications to discern and respond to grievances
  • Oversee employee relations and labor-related matters in compliance with applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements
  • Manage termination processes and unemployment compensation
