Job Description

The hiring establishment is a dynamic and expansive amusement park renowned for providing exceptional guest experiences through its diverse attractions, entertainment options, and premium dining services. As a premier destination, the park prides itself on maintaining high operational standards and fostering a vibrant, guest-friendly environment. Within this setting, the Food and Beverage Department plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall visitor experience by delivering top-tier culinary offerings and excellent customer service across various in-park venues. The park continually invests in its workforce and operational excellence to align with industry best practices, uphold safety standards, and promote sustainable growth.

The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager position is a key leadership role within the park's Food & Beverage Department, reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Director. This role involves managing the daily operations of food and beverage services within a specific area of the park. The Assistant Manager collaborates closely with other departments to support cohesive park-wide initiatives and ensure seamless guest service delivery. Core responsibilities include supervising and coaching food and beverage staff, overseeing recruitment and training efforts for seasonal and permanent employees, and enforcing departmental standards that contribute to a positive work culture. The role also entails significant involvement in financial management, such as preparing budgets, controlling costs, and driving revenue-generating strategies to achieve set financial targets, including revenue per capita and labor cost control.

Furthermore, the Assistant Manager is responsible for administrative tasks like maintaining documentation, facilitating interdepartmental communication, and responding promptly to guest feedback and operational updates. Inventory management is a critical component, requiring coordination with purchasing and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste through effective par level monitoring. The position demands strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local health department regulations and company policies. The Assistant Manager also oversees equipment maintenance and promotes safe food handling practices to protect guests and staff alike.

This role is designed for a results-oriented leader with a background in food and beverage management and proven supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and certifications such as ServSafe Food Manager and Alcohol certifications are preferred to ensure compliance and excellence in service delivery. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the park's operational needs. This full-time position offers a rewarding career path with opportunities for professional development within a vibrant and fast-paced hospitality environment, contributing directly to the park's reputation for outstanding guest service and operational success.
