Job Description

Valet Living is a leading provider of essential waste, recycling, and compost collection services tailored specifically for multifamily communities across the United States. As a company, Valet Living is committed to not only delivering excellent service but also building careers, creating growth opportunities, and fostering a culture of service and excellence in every aspect of its operations. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and community engagement, Valet Living supports thousands of properties nationwide, ensuring waste management processes are handled efficiently, safely, and with a customer-focused approach. The company provides a dynamic work environment where leadership is framed by service, and employees are continuously encouraged to develop their skillsets, advance their careers, and contribute to the company’s mission of making clean communities a standard for all.

The Area Leader position at Valet Living is an exciting opportunity for those with supervisory experience who relish problem-solving and using data to drive operational decisions. This is a field-based role primarily responsible for overseeing multiple multifamily properties—between 20 and 40—and managing a team of 15 to 40 part-time Service Valets. These team members are responsible for nightly waste, recycling, and compost collection services. You will play a vital role in maintaining service quality, operational efficiency, safety adherence, and timely service delivery. In addition to fieldwork, the position entails administrative responsibilities, which include managing schedules, approving timecards, monitoring staffing costs, and ensuring that all operations stay within budget. The schedule primarily includes evening shifts from Sunday to Thursday, with core hours from 6:00 PM to 12:30 AM plus two additional flexible hours to complete an 8-hour shift, offering a mix of field and remote administrative work. Compensation for this role ranges from $21.50 to $23.00 per hour, and the company provides a vehicle to facilitate travel between community sites.

In this supervisory role, you will onboard and train new Service Valets to uphold Valet Living’s high standards. You will provide ongoing coaching, conduct safety checks, and organize regular team meetings to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Using technological tools such as the iValet dashboard, you will monitor real-time performance metrics and ensure service reliability across all assigned communities. Additionally, your responsibilities will include responding promptly to any resident or property concerns, auditing service quality, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring your team is equipped with necessary tools and equipment.

Valet Living values professionals who are organized, tech-savvy, data-driven, and strong communicators who have a problem-solving mindset. Physical stamina is a requirement due to the nature of the work, which involves the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk long distances, and work in various weather conditions. The company supports employee growth by offering an extensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k with company match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and various additional perks such as referral bonuses and pet insurance. Valet Living prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. This position is ideal for someone seeking to grow their career in a hands-on leadership role within an essential services company that makes a tangible difference in communities.
