Job Description
Loma Linda Hotel Square is a distinguished hospitality campus featuring four exceptional properties: The NEW Courtyard Loma Linda, TownePlace Suites Loma Linda, Holiday Inn Express Loma Linda, and Candlewood Suites Loma Linda. Located in the vibrant city of Loma Linda, California, this cluster of hotels offers a wide range of accommodations and services tailored for both business travelers and leisure guests. Each property is part of a recognized brand known for quality, comfort, and excellent guest experiences. With its strategic location and diverse portfolio, Loma Linda Hotel Square serves as a premier destination that caters to a variety of clientele including corporate travelers, families, and long-term visitors.
The Area Director of Sales position at Loma Linda Hotel Square is a pivotal leadership role requiring a passionate and results-driven professional to manage sales strategies across all four hotels. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and maximizing business opportunities, particularly within the business travel segment. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of nurturing key transient and group client relationships, overseeing multiple revenue streams, and implementing effective sales tactics that drive market share growth and revenue enhancement.
As the Area Director of Sales, you will be tasked with driving sales excellence across a campus-style property setting. This includes being an expert in business travel sales and maintaining a competitive edge by executing fast, decisive actions relevant to market changes. You will also be responsible for exceeding guest expectations by ensuring services surpass customer satisfaction goals, which is vital for client retention and brand loyalty.
The role involves managing the brand's Request for Proposal (RFP) process, conducting solicitation calls to local businesses, and qualifying new sales accounts. Strategic analysis of current and potential business segments is crucial to maintaining a robust pipeline of profitable revenue. Collaboration with local industry and civic organizations will provide additional avenues for public relations and new business development, reinforcing the hotels’ standings in the community.
Effective communication and coordination with all hotel departments are essential to guarantee seamless account execution. Additionally, the Area Director of Sales will work closely with Corporate Sales and Revenue Leadership to align sales objectives and rate strategies. The role also entails comprehensive reporting responsibilities, including weekly and monthly sales reports, to track progress and inform strategic decisions.
This position requires an assertive, relationship-oriented professional with a proven track record in hospitality sales, particularly someone who has demonstrated the ability to meet or surpass sales targets. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, excellent public relations skills, and the ability to supervise, coach, and counsel a high-performing sales team. Familiarity with tools such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and DELPHI is essential for operational efficiency.
Candidates should expect a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 per year. This is a full-time, in-person role offering the opportunity to lead the sales efforts for multiple well-established hotel brands in a flourishing market. Loma Linda Hotel Square is committed to diversity and equal opportunity, promoting an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully.
