Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Ability to compile facts and figures
- Ability to operate personal computer and calculator
- Telephone etiquette skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to view CRT screen
- Ability to communicate with vendors calling in on phone
- Ability to read bills and accounts
- Ability to lift and carry files and papers up to 5 lbs
- No bending or kneeling required
- Stationary position
- No continuous standing, climbing or driving required
- Work inside 100 percent of 8 hours

- Accounting background preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Verify that purchasing procedures are followed, maintain an accurate, up-to-date Purchase Order Log
- Route invoices with Purchase Order attached to Department Heads and Executive Committee members for approval
- Process all approved invoices for payment ensuring all appropriate signatures and back-up attached
- Handle all vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements
- Maintain organized files of open, paid and voided invoices
- Oversee all aspects of cash handling including distribution and reconciliation of cash banks
- Conduct regular audits to ensure bank accuracy and compliance with company procedures
- Make change for large bills and maintain control of the safe including securing deposits
