Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to compile facts and figures
  • Ability to operate personal computer and calculator
  • Telephone etiquette skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to view CRT screen
  • Ability to communicate with vendors calling in on phone
  • Ability to read bills and accounts
  • Ability to lift and carry files and papers up to 5 lbs
  • No bending or kneeling required
  • Stationary position
  • No continuous standing, climbing or driving required
  • Work inside 100 percent of 8 hours

Job Duties

  • Verify that purchasing procedures are followed, maintain an accurate, up-to-date Purchase Order Log
  • Route invoices with Purchase Order attached to Department Heads and Executive Committee members for approval
  • Process all approved invoices for payment ensuring all appropriate signatures and back-up attached
  • Handle all vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements
  • Maintain organized files of open, paid and voided invoices
  • Oversee all aspects of cash handling including distribution and reconciliation of cash banks
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure bank accuracy and compliance with company procedures
  • Make change for large bills and maintain control of the safe including securing deposits
