Job Description

The hiring establishment is a hospitality venue operating within the Choctaw Nation jurisdiction in Oklahoma, likely a bar or a high-volume full-service restaurant that is dedicated to providing premium beverage service and a memorable customer experience. This establishment adheres strictly to Oklahoma Liquor Laws and the Choctaw Nation Alcoholic Beverage Ordinances, ensuring compliance and responsible service of alcohol to its patrons. It is a place where guest satisfaction is paramount, requiring staff to work cohesively as a team and maintain a safe and clean working environment. The business emphasizes a strong commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service standards, reflecting a professional approach to hospitality that balances customer enjoyment with legal and ethical responsibilities.

The role being offered is that of a bartender, a critical position responsible for preparing and serving cocktails and other beverages to guests while facilitating a positive and engaging customer service experience. Reporting directly to the Beverage Manager, the bartender is expected to expertly handle customer orders, manage various payment transactions through a point-of-sale terminal system, and maintain an exceptional level of cleanliness and organization at the bar. This includes overseeing barbacks during bussing, cleaning, restocking, and garnish preparation.

In this role, the bartender must also verify the age of customers to ensure legal alcohol sales and demonstrate knowledge of cocktail recipes, ingredients, and garnishes to make accurate drinks promptly and advise guests with suggestions that maximize sales opportunities. The successful candidate will foster a positive work atmosphere that promotes good communication among guests, co-workers, vendors, and management. Furthermore, the bartender takes on a proactive role in maintaining safety and compliance by reporting shortages, equipment malfunctions, or staffing issues to management, and discreetly notifying management of any concerns relating to responsible gaming and alcohol service.

This position demands at least one year of experience in a high-volume, full-service bartending environment and requires the ability to handle cash and various payment methods proficiently. An ABLE Certification is a mandatory requirement, reflecting the establishment's dedication to responsible service training. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, or 18 if working in environments that serve only 3.2% beer.

Overall, this bartending role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant, team-oriented environment within an established hospitality business that prioritizes customer satisfaction, legal compliance, and professional beverage service. It is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced settings and value a balance of customer interaction, precise service skills, and teamwork in delivering a superior bar experience.
