Job Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and MVR acceptable to our Insurance Carrier
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk and hear frequently
  • capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • able to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • basic understanding of automotive service procedures
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • customer service oriented
  • willingness to learn and develop as an automotive service advisor
  • good verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Schedules service appointments
  • obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible
  • greets service department customers promptly and courteously
  • calls to schedule special order parts appointments
  • schedules and files claims for glass claims
  • operates customer shuttle and manages Service Porter workload for moving and locating service vehicles
  • develops skills as an advisor and works Saturday business
  • assists with writing shop purchase orders and used car repair orders
  • writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order
  • test drives the vehicle with customer to confirm the problem or refers to test technician
  • refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service
  • handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
  • reports any customer concerns to Service Manager
