Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, known for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with a mission to cultivate a better world through better food, Chipotle has revolutionized the fast-food experience by emphasizing quality, sustainability, and community engagement. The company currently operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, being unique in owning and operating all its locations in North America and Europe. This approach allows Chipotle to maintain strict quality control and uphold its high standards across all markets. At its core, Chipotle is not just about serving food; it's about creating meaningful conversations around food sourcing, farming, and the future of food systems. The company actively supports sustainable agriculture and advocates for more transparent, ethical food practices, setting it apart in the restaurateur space.
The Apprenticeship role at Chipotle offers an extraordinary opportunity for individuals passionate about growing into management within a dynamic and purpose-driven company. Apprentices work closely in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, gaining the practical knowledge and skills needed to eventually lead as a General Manager. This role is ideal for those who are guest-obsessed, eager to lead and develop others, and excited to dive into all facets of restaurant management including scheduling, hiring, profit and loss (P&L) management, sales forecasting, and operational compliance. Apprentices learn to uphold top-notch standards of hospitality and operational excellence, ensuring that each guest experience is positive and reflective of Chipotle’s mission.
The position is structured as a full-time commitment with a standard 50-hour workweek, including evening and weekend shifts, and offers competitive compensation alongside applicable overtime pay. Apprentices benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance packages, as well as retirement savings plans, tuition assistance programs (subject to eligibility), paid time off, holiday closures, and a quarterly bonus scheme. This role is a gateway to a rewarding career path filled with opportunities for growth and advancement within Chipotle’s expansive restaurant network.
Chipotle’s culture emphasizes inclusivity, diversity, and equity, fostering an environment where employees of all backgrounds can thrive and contribute to a greater purpose. The company ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other relevant local laws, providing reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants with disabilities who may require support during the hiring process. By joining Chipotle as an Apprentice, one becomes part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to reshaping the fast-food industry with integrity, innovation, and a commitment to making better food accessible to everyone. This role demands physical endurance and stamina, requiring the ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours a day, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain high levels of communication and teamwork in a fast-paced, sometimes rapidly changing kitchen environment.
