The Standard Hotels in Federal Way, Washington, is currently seeking a Seasonal Part-time Server to join their Food and Beverage team at the Le Bain location. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional guest service within a dynamic hospitality setting. Reporting to the Director of Operations and Management on Duty, the Server plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth restaurant operations by managing all aspects of guest relations and service, as well as maintaining the upkeep of the dining areas.

As a Server at The Standard Federal Way, you will be instrumental in creating memorable dining experiences through attentive, warm, and professional service that aligns with The Standard’s core values and high standards. Your responsibilities will include setting up dining spaces, maintaining organized service stations, accurately managing orders and payments, and ensuring compliance with the Standard’s service protocols. This role demands physical stamina, the ability to work standing for extended periods, and skill in multitasking within a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • Able to work standing for a minimum period of 8 hours a day
  • Ability to pull, push, carry and lift at least 40 pounds of force
  • Periodical bending, kneeling, and stretching
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
  • Adherence to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards per SOPs
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Adherence to posted schedule and attendance at mandatory meetings
  • Personal comportment in line with Standard policies and expectations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Knowledge of drink recipes, Standard signature drinks and wine lists
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of POS system and cashiering
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

Job Duties

  • Set up rooms, align furniture, lamps, and tables
  • Deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences for our guests
  • Maintain a properly set wait station
  • Stock linen, pens, rubber bands, checkbooks, notepads, and roll receipt paper as needed
  • Ensure patrons feel welcomed, cared for, and attended to
  • Describe menu items and wine as requested
  • Follow the service and house standard expectations at all times
  • Organize service station and service bar station
  • Put order through in properly
  • Handle all payment methods
  • Ensure all closing side work is thoroughly completed
