These hands-on duties require attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.
Working hours typically amount to about 40 hours a week, from Wednesday to Sunday, usually from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, although schedules may vary as events and locations change. Additionally, the employer offers optional housing valued at $125 per week and local convenience travel valued at $25 per week, both provided at no cost to the worker. Transportation between work sites and housing is also available for free, supporting employee mobility across multiple event locations in Wisconsin and Illinois metropolitan areas.
Applicants should be ready and able to commit to the entire employment period and comply with employment contracts and workplace rules. Post-employment random drug testing and background checks may be required as part of the commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Though Alpine Amusement Co does not provide traditional benefits for this position, the structured pay, optional housing and transportation, and the chance to gain varied experience in a fun, engaging workplace present significant advantages. Workers will find themselves immersed in a vibrant carnival atmosphere, often traveling between cities such as Racine, Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Chicago, and serving the diverse public that enjoys the excitement of traveling carnivals.
