Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months of experience in a similar role
- Basic understanding of customer service principles and restaurant operations
- Proficiency in standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Vision ability to read detailed guest checks and observe restaurant environment
- Manual dexterity to handle food trays and kitchen items
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Good hearing and vision
- Capacity to multitask and follow verbal and written instructions
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to use tact and understanding in stressful customer service situations
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in similar position of 3 months or longer
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles, food server function, and restaurant operations
- Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Ability to clearly see detailed guest checks and observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions
- Manual coordination sufficient to punch buttons, grasp items, and balance trays loaded with food and beverages
Job Duties
- Greets and takes food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests
- Creates milkshakes
- Runs food and buses tables
- Remains attentive to customers throughout the dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards
- Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing sidework
- Memorizes menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintains cleanliness standards in restaurant, waitstation and kitchen service area to ensure a clean and presentable facility
- Controls guest checks by following procedures and documenting all required information
- Receives proper payment from guests ensuring accuracy
- Attends all pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communication and product knowledge
- Responds to customer inquiries in person and on phone providing timely and knowledgeable information
- Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
