Job Description
Walton Arts Center / Walmart AMP is a premier performing arts venue known for hosting a diverse range of entertainment events including concerts, theatrical performances, and special events. Located in a vibrant cultural district, this venue attracts large crowds and offers not only world-class entertainment but also exceptional food and beverage experiences that complement the live shows. The venue prides itself on delivering outstanding service and memorable experiences to patrons through its dedicated team across multiple departments. Among these departments, the food and beverage team plays a critical role in maintaining the satisfaction and overall enjoyment of guests. This team operates both a dynamic food trailer and suite catering services, which serve a variety of guests during events.
The Food Trailer Worker position is essential within the food and beverage team at Walton Arts Center / Walmart AMP, contributing significantly to the quality and efficiency of food service operations. This role involves working primarily from a fast-paced food trailer environment, preparing and serving high-quality food items while also supporting suite catering needs. The candidate in this role will need to manage diverse tasks including cooking menu items according to established recipes, maintaining food safety standards in compliance with health regulations, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace for food preparation and service. Operating equipment such as grills, fryers, and warming stations is part of the daily routine, requiring proficiency and attention to detail.
Furthermore, the Food Trailer Worker will provide excellent customer service by interacting warmly and professionally with guests, accurately taking and processing orders through a Point of Sale (POS) system, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly. Flexibility and the ability to uphold Walton Arts Center's standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethics are essential for success in this position. The role demands someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-pressure event environment and who can maintain composure while delivering superior service. The candidate must be a team player, able to collaborate with coworkers, various departments, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.
Beyond day-of-show responsibilities, the Food Trailer Worker will assist with operational support tasks such as setting up and breaking down the food trailer, organizing supplies, and helping load and unload for events. Keeping the food trailer and prep areas clean, stocked, and orderly throughout service shifts is critical to maintaining an efficient workflow and meeting health and safety standards. Since the venue hosts large, sophisticated shows that may include loud music, bright lights, and pyrotechnics, adaptability and resilience to a vibrant and sometimes challenging environment are necessary.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about food service and guest satisfaction, with the ability to maintain high standards even when working under time constraints. Prior experience in food service or catering is preferred but not mandatory, as ongoing training and opportunities for growth are provided. The Walton Arts Center offers a dynamic workplace where employees contribute meaningfully to an exciting live event atmosphere, making each workday unique and rewarding. This position supports a collaborative culture focused on excellence and the seamless execution of multiple simultaneous event operations. If you are dedicated, energetic, and customer-focused, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a lively and prestigious setting.
