The position involves providing prompt and courteous food service, greeting guests with warmth, accurately taking and serving orders, accommodating special requests, and maintaining a clean and appealing dining environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in memorizing menu items and specials to provide knowledgeable recommendations. Additional responsibilities include restocking and cleaning duties, managing guest checks with care to ensure payment accuracy, and participating actively in team meetings to stay informed of products, services, and operational updates.

Job Requirements
- high school education or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar position of 3 months or longer
- basic knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant operations
- standard cash-handling skills
- fluency in oral and written English
- good vision and manual coordination
- physical ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to stand and move for long periods
- effective communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- high school education or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar food service position of 3 months or longer
- basic knowledge of customer service principles
- knowledge of food server function and restaurant and kitchen operations
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- fluent in oral and written English
- excellent vision to see detailed guest checks and observe the restaurant
- manual coordination to manage trays and equipment
- strong organizational skills
- ability to multitask and handle stressful situations tactfully
Job Duties
- greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers
- serve orders and accommodate special needs or requests
- remain attentive to customers throughout the entire dining experience
- complete restocking and cleaning duties including opening and closing sidework
- memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, waitstation and kitchen service area
- control guest checks by following established procedures and document required information
- receive payment from guests and ensure accuracy of guest check and payment
- attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings
- respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone
- present a clean and professional appearance
- maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
- perform other duties as assigned or requested by management
