We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Food and Beverage Server to join our vibrant team at the McHenry Row Courtyard by Marriott, located in Baltimore. This modern 126-room property is part of the prestigious McHenry Row development, conveniently situated less than one mile from the Maryland Cruise Terminal and less than two miles from popular local landmarks such as the M&T Stadium and Horseshoe Casino. The position requires a flexible schedule with availability for weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be responsible for taking and serving food and beverage orders, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, while delivering courteous and efficient service following the hotel’s specifications.
The Food and Beverage Department plays a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality food and beverage service in a safe and compliant manner. Our team members uphold rigorous standards aligned with Shaner Hotels, franchise, and hotel policies and procedures. Maintaining effective communication with the General Manager, department managers, supervisors, and staff is essential to smooth operations. Additionally, the role requires assisting in the upkeep of the restaurant area and equipment to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. This position is a vital part of our hospitality team, providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall guest experience at our renowned hotel property.

Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public
- Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
- High school graduate or equivalent
- ServSafe and/or food safety training
- Alcohol awareness training
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public
- Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
- High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
- ServSafe and/or food safety training
- Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele
Job Duties
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
- Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
- Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and franchise specifications
- Ensure communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff
- Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently
- Collect payments
- Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
