Job Requirements
- Previous guest service experience is required
- Cash handling experience is preferred
- Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis
- Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of guests and co-workers
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays
- Shift consists of breakfast and lunch service from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM or 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Minimum lifting of 50 pounds
- Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
- Hearing, writing, typing
- Minimum pulling of 50 pounds
- Other duties may be assigned
- Must be 21 or older to serve alcohol
- Must possess unexpired or obtain a Utah food handlers permit within 14 days of employment
Job Qualifications
- Previous guest service experience
- Familiarity with menu and wine selections
- Ability to memorize daily specials and basic ingredients
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Must be 21 or older to serve alcohol
- Valid Utah food handlers permit or ability to obtain within 14 days
- Physical ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner and assist host or hostess in seating guests as needed
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation
- Memorize menu selections and wines including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients
- Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures
- Work respectfully with guests and co-workers to resolve disagreements
- Convey company information, decisions, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
