The role of Server at this location is an integral part of delivering outstanding guest experiences. The Server position involves directly engaging with restaurant patrons, taking food and beverage orders accurately, delivering those orders promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work well within a team are essential qualities for success in this role. The Server also contributes to maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. This position offers a starting wage of $7.60 per hour plus tips and is paid biweekly. Part-time shifts typically run from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with varying schedules that require weekend availability and flexibility during special high-volume events such as football games and graduations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • ability to operate point-of-sale systems
  • must obtain Texas food handling certification and TABC certification
  • previous server experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • well-organized with the ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately

  • previous experience as a server preferred

Job Duties

  • Greets guests as they are seated at the table
  • ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
  • distributes menus and presents the daily specials
  • answers questions regarding the menu
  • takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen
  • delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests
  • ensures that food is prepared correctly and to guests' satisfaction
  • returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
  • collects plates and clears the table as guests finish their meals
  • prepares guests' checks and collects payments
  • assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
  • performs other related duties as assigned
