The Restaurant Server position within the Food & Beverage department at HRI Hospitality offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, guest-focused team. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and Food & Beverage Manager, this role plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional service to diners. The server is responsible for greeting guests promptly, offering friendly and attentive service, and ensuring their dining experience is memorable from start to finish. Key responsibilities include presenting menus, providing detailed information about menu items including allergens, answering guest questions, and making recommendations tailored to individual preferences. The role also involves taking accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, delivering orders promptly while maintaining proper presentation and temperature, and actively checking back with guests to anticipate their needs. Attention to detail is essential, particularly in order accuracy, payment processing, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. The server must adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines, contributing to a safe and enjoyable dining environment. Regular duties include assisting in opening and closing tasks, performing side work, and supporting kitchen and management communication to address guest concerns efficiently. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling a plus
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining environment
  • Knowledge of menu items, allergens, food preparation, and beverage options
  • Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25-30 lbs
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Professional appearance and polished demeanor

Job Duties

  • Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately
  • Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization
  • Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
