The role available at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is crucial to maintaining and elevating the exceptional standards that have earned it nationwide recognition. As a member of the culinary team, the individual will work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment on a sprawling campus-style property. This position demands a strong dedication to quality, efficiency, and teamwork. Employees are expected to arrive promptly in proper uniform, maintain personal grooming standards, and actively participate in required safety and training courses. Key responsibilities include using proper portion control techniques to assist in food cost containment, ensuring sanitation standards are upheld, and being proficient in the operation of kitchen equipment and safety protocols. Candidates will play an important role in preparing breads and pastries for lunch and dinner services, rotating inventory to prevent spoilage, and labeling and storing all products correctly.
Safety is paramount at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. The role involves consistently identifying and reporting safety hazards and following up to ensure corrective actions are taken promptly. Employees will also familiarize themselves with Material Safety Data Sheets and proper labeling procedures to uphold the highest safety standards. Teamwork is emphasized, with the individual working closely with the Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, and Sous Chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations and top-quality food preparation. The work schedule is flexible, accommodating weekends, holidays, and split shifts, to meet the dynamic needs of this prestigious establishment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and split shifts
- Maintain personal grooming standards including clean and styled hair as approved by management
- Ability to attend all required training and safety courses
- Capable of following safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in operating kitchen equipment and safety features
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and ability to keep work area clean
- Capable of rotating breads and desserts and informing Chef or Executive Chef of spoilage
- Experience in preparing breads and pastries for lunch and dinner meals
- Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets and proper product labeling
Job Duties
- Arrive to work on time consistently
- Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisps, clean, and in good repair
- Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style, management has final approval
- Attend all required training and safety courses along with office and departmental meetings
- Work in fast pace, high volume kitchen with a campus style property
- Report any safety hazards, follow up that the hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment
- Use proper portion control techniques, assisting in food cost containment
