As an AM Line Cook at Flagship, you will play a crucial role in producing consistent, high-quality food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. This on-site role located at 500 Howard St Fl 4, San Francisco, CA, invites individuals who are passionate about cooking and eager to maintain the highest standards in food preparation. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $35.00 per hour, reflecting the demanding nature and skill required for the role. Your responsibilities will include preparing and portioning ingredients, assisting with cooking duties, and ensuring that every finished dish meets the company’s flavor, freshness, and quality benchmarks.

The role demands adherence to local and state safety and sanitation guidelines, including constant compliance with OSHA and Department of Health regulations. You’ll be expected to maintain a clean, organized station, manage kitchen equipment in proper working order, and ensure proper rotation, labeling, and stocking of ingredients using FIFO (first in, first out) methods. This position requires vigilance in maintaining food safety protocols as well as a continuous focus on enhancing the customer experience through timely and quality food production.

Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with culinary education preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of two years’ experience as a line cook is essential, along with a valid Handlers’ Card (ServSafe) and a flawless personal record of punctuality and attendance. The demanding work environment includes fast-paced, noisy conditions with exposure to various kitchen elements such as heat, steam, smoke, cleaning chemicals, and fluctuating temperatures. Physical demands include frequent standing, lifting items up to 40 lbs (with help for heavier items), repetitive hand motions, and navigating slippery or uneven surfaces.
