Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years cooking experience preferably high volume
  • food handlers certification required
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
  • good communication skills
  • detail oriented
  • basic computer skills
  • organizational skills

  • ability to effectively deal with customers
  • knowledge of cooking methods and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferably in a high volume setting
  • food handlers certification
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • leadership ability and customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with organizational skills
  • basic computer literacy
  • knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Read menu to estimate food requirements and assist Executive Chef with ordering supplies
  • assist in training new culinary staff members
  • coordinate and expedite kitchen staff to ensure timely service and consistent food quality
  • prepare food items according to standardized recipes
  • measure and mix ingredients using kitchen equipment
  • operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and griddles
  • set up station with required mise en place
  • adjust thermostat controls on cooking appliances
  • clean food preparation areas and utensils
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
  • verify food quality and quantity
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
