Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Minimum one-year food service or related work experience
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to communicate with kitchen staff
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 70 pounds
- Capability to bend, kneel, and maintain mobility throughout the kitchen
- Ability to stand continuously for extended periods
- Moderate hearing and vision to perform job functions
- Compliance with safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- Follow daily prep lists for assigned duties
- Prepare various meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables using kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers
- Portion food products according to standard sizes and recipe specifications
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstation and equipment
- Close kitchen properly following the closing checklist and assist others
- Attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute improvement suggestions
- Report equipment and food quality issues promptly to the chef on duty
- Inform chef immediately of product shortages
- Use standard recipe cards for all preparation
- Perform additional duties as assigned by chef or manager-on-duty
- Return unused food items to designated storage with proper covering and dating
- Date and rotate food containers according to operating procedures
- Follow executive or sous chef instructions
- Clean up station and manage leftover food
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Report safety issues to the chef on duty
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
