Job Description

David's Bridal is a leading retailer specializing in wedding dresses and special occasion apparel, known for its comprehensive offerings and exceptional customer service. With a dominant presence in the bridal market, David's Bridal serves customers at every stage of their special moments—from engagements to weddings and beyond. As a company, David's Bridal is committed to empowering both its customers and employees to find and celebrate their unique styles and milestones. The company prides itself on holding one out of three products sold in its category and boasts one of the highest customer service scores in retail, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to quality and satisfaction.

David's Bridal is currently seeking an Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join its team. This position is key to the success of the Alterations department and contributes directly to delivering a superior customer experience. The Alterations CSR is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for customers requiring alterations services and ensuring that each interaction reflects the brand’s high standards of hospitality and professionalism. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the role involves a variety of tasks including welcoming customers both in person and via phone or virtual chat, managing appointments, pressing garments, and preparing items for pickup.

The role calls for a person who is passionately enthusiastic, endlessly curious, and customer-obsessed, someone who truly cares about making dreams come true for customers preparing for important life events. The Alterations CSR must demonstrate excellent communication skills by engaging customers effectively, resolving conflicts gracefully, and adapting their communication style to meet varied customer needs. The position requires experience with computerized Point of Sale (POS) systems and benefits from prior sewing or retail apparel experience.

This part-time role offers a rewarding working environment with competitive pay, team bonuses, and various benefits such as vision care, supplemental insurance options, a 401K program, and generous employee discounts. Furthermore, David's Bridal promotes an inclusive culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring a supportive and positive workplace where employees from all backgrounds can flourish.

In addition to customer interaction, the Alterations CSR is responsible for maintaining store standards, including cleanliness, organization, and promotional readiness, to ensure a flawless shopping experience. Technical tasks include pressing, steaming, spot cleaning, and quality control for garments to be altered or personalized. The representative also plays a vital role in inventory management by processing special orders and ensuring first-quality merchandise is available. A strong focus on teamwork is essential, as the CSR supports the Alterations Manager and store management with problem-solving and operational tasks.

Ultimately, this position is ideal for an individual who values detailed-oriented work, excels in multitasking within a fast-paced retail environment, and enjoys building meaningful relationships with customers to exceed satisfaction and loyalty goals. By joining David's Bridal as an Alterations Customer Service Representative, employees become part of a company that celebrates all life's moments with passion, purpose, and dedication to excellence.
