Job Description

Briarwood Health Center is a distinguished senior living community located in Issaquah, Washington, known for providing exemplary assisted living and memory care services. Situated in a breathtaking setting near Cougar Mountain, Briarwood Health Center combines compassionate care with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for its residents. The community serves well-traveled, active seniors who appreciate a lifestyle infused with outdoor adventures and social engagement. As a part of the Timber Ridge at Talus campus, which is the area's first Silver LEED-certified Life Plan Community, the center offers a unique blend of sustainable living, exceptional hospitality, and a supportive atmosphere that respects the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

The Nurse Manager LPN/RN role at Briarwood Health Center is a full-time position with a schedule from 8am to 5pm and requires the ability to be on call during weekends. The pay range for this role is $36 to $50 per hour, depending on experience and licensing. This important leadership role is centered on managing nursing care within the Assisted Living and Memory Care Center, ensuring high standards of resident health and safety are maintained. The Nurse Manager supervises direct nursing care, administers treatment as necessary, and ensures the delivery of personalized, compassionate care tailored to the diverse needs of senior residents.

This position also involves critical responsibilities such as conducting routine rounds to assess resident conditions and environmental safety, managing nursing documentation including activities of daily living (ADL) sheets and follow-up charting, coordinating admissions and pre-admission screenings for new residents, and supervising nursing personnel. The Nurse Manager plays a pivotal role in emergency response, monthly pharmacy refills, infection control tracking, and effective interdepartmental communication. An essential aspect of this role is active participation in risk management activities. The Nurse Manager at Briarwood Health Center takes on the role of Risk Manager, which includes conducting investigations, implementing interventions, collaborating with law enforcement and state agencies, and preparing quality assurance reports. This responsibility highlights the center's commitment to resident safety and regulatory compliance.

Briarwood Health Center emphasizes professional development and offers a supportive environment with numerous benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k) with company match, health savings accounts, employee assistance programs, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and various employee discounts. The workplace culture fosters teamwork and engagement, ensuring employees are valued and supported both personally and professionally.

Ideal candidates for this role are licensed RN or LPN professionals who possess current CPR certification, preferably with experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, and supervisory roles. Strong communication skills, ethical standards, and the ability to build positive relationships are essential qualities. The physical demands of the position require the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift and transfer residents safely, and manage exposure to potential health hazards with careful attention to detail.

This position is suited for highly motivated nursing leaders dedicated to enhancing senior care outcomes while growing their careers within a vibrant, caring community. Briarwood Health Center invites qualified nursing professionals to join their team and contribute to a mission that values life-long learning, compassionate care, and community well-being.
