Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch
- frequent ability to move, stock, and transport boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
- sufficient mental stamina to manage stressful and busy periods
- ability to work in varying temperature environments including hot cooking equipment and cold storage areas
- flexible to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- valid food handler's card as required
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire
- prior experience in food and beverage service and food preparation preferred
- demonstrated experience with hot and cold food preparation
- sound working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes
- proficiency in operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, grinders, and food processors if 18 years or older
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and efficiency
- possession of a valid food handler's card as required by county regulations
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently including slicers, mixers, grinders, and food processors
- maintain a thorough understanding of hot and cold food preparation techniques
- adhere to all accepted sanitation standards and health codes
- wash dishes and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area
- utilize cut gloves when handling knives and sharp utensils
- manage assigned tasks effectively and meet established time schedules
- maintain an immaculate kitchen environment through regular cleaning and adherence to hygiene protocols
- fulfill any other duties as delegated by supervisory personnel
