Job Description
Signature Aviation is a leading global network of private aviation terminals with over 225 locations worldwide. As the largest provider in the private aviation industry, Signature Aviation is committed to delivering safe, convenient, and elevated experiences to its customers. Recognized as a premier hospitality organization and a certified Great Place to Work™, Signature Aviation upholds a culture that values its team and focuses on professional development and community engagement. With nearly 6,000 dedicated aviation experts and enthusiasts, the company continually redefines private air travel by offering exceptional services and fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment.
The Airside Experience Specialist role is a vital position within Signature Aviation’s private aviation terminal operations. This role acts as the face of the terminal, responsible for creating seamless, personalized, and welcoming experiences for every guest, crew member, and aircraft served. The position uniquely blends exceptional hospitality skills with hands-on operational expertise. Specialists operate ground service equipment and execute aircraft ground services including fueling, de-icing, lavatory servicing, and more, ensuring that guests feel cared for from the moment their aircraft wheels touch the ground until departure.
Working as part of a cohesive team, the Airside Experience Specialist contributes to safe and efficient airside operations by following established policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role demands clear and accurate communication through various methods to accomplish operational tasks effectively. A service-first mindset is essential, as interactions with guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers must prioritize professionalism and friendliness to uphold the company’s reputation for luxury and excellence.
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be comfortable working in outdoor environments near active aircraft and adapting to varying weather conditions. Operating specialized ground service vehicles such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, tugs, and stair trucks is a crucial aspect of the role, as is loading and unloading luggage and cargo.
The Airside Experience Specialist is entrusted with maintaining safe, clean, and secure ramps, fuel handling with attention to quality control, and enforcing safety and security protocols per company and airport regulations. Responsibilities also include recognizing and addressing safety concerns proactively, executing emergency response procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation of work activities. Decision-making skills, such as stopping work under unsafe conditions, demonstrate the vital safety role this position plays.
Signature Aviation offers comprehensive benefits to support the wellbeing and growth of team members, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k) retirement plans, paid time off, and continuous training and development opportunities. Committed to inclusivity, Signature Aviation ensures equal employment consideration regardless of age, race, gender identity, or other protected characteristics.
This dynamic and rewarding position is well-suited for individuals passionate about aviation and hospitality, who thrive in fast-paced, luxury-driven settings and seek a career that combines operational expertise with exceptional guest service. With Signature Aviation’s supportive work culture and global reach, the Airside Experience Specialist role offers not just a job but a path to a meaningful career in private aviation.
