Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle
- Ability to pass drug testing
- Must meet airport background check requirements for security badge
- Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction
- Excellent vision and coordination
- Ability to pass color vision test
- Valid state driver's license required
- Commercial driver's license required in some locations
- Ability to exercise good judgment and follow supervisor directions
- Preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to pass company background checks, drug tests, and meet airport security badge requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
- Excellent vision and coordination with ability to pass a color vision test
- Valid state driver's license, with commercial driver's license (CDL) where required
- Ability to exercise good judgment and follow directions from supervisors
- Preferred 3 to 6 months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field
- Excellent guest service skills with an outgoing, energetic personality
- Ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills including arithmetic and percentages
- Physical ability to operate ground support equipment and perform tasks from elevated heights
- Strong critical thinking and reasoning abilities
- Good interpersonal skills for teamwork and guest service
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete company training programs
Job Duties
- Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with all team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure service needs are met including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering delivery and towing
- Proactively prepare for arriving/departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, and report safety concerns immediately
- Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
- Load and unload luggage and cargo from aircraft and other transportation modes
- Provide professional and friendly guest service with a positive attitude ensuring exceptional guest experiences
- Offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation driving shuttle vehicle transporting guests, luggage, and cargo
- Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramp operations
- Handle fuel including quality control, receipt, inventory and documentation
- Understand, comply with, and enforce all operational, safety, and guest service requirements
- Stop work and report unsafe conditions or acts
- Follow emergency response procedures during critical events
- Comply with all security protocols including physical, cyber and data
- Create accurate records of time worked and services performed
