Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- must be a local (in-state) resident
- valid in-state driver's license
- ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- able to pass a comprehensive background check covering up to 10 years
- minimum age of 18 years
- authorization to work in the United States
- completion of ramp and SIDA training
- physical ability to lift and carry items 70 lbs or more regularly
- strong capacity to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined or elevated spaces
- willingness to transport heavy items up and down jet way stairs
Job Qualifications
- Must be a local (in-state) resident
- valid In-State Driver's License required
- ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- able to pass a comprehensive background check covering up to 10 years
- minimum age requirement of 18 years
- authorization to work in the United States as per the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- completion of ramp and SIDA training necessary for airport authority identification
- physical ability to lift and carry items 70 lbs or more regularly, including repeated lifting of 40-50 lbs
- strong capacity to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and perform tasks in confined or elevated spaces
- willingness to transport heavy items up and down jet way stairs
- high school diploma or GED is required
- preferred: minimum of one year of relevant experience
- effective verbal communication skills, including via radio equipment
- professional communication skills to convey information accurately
Job Duties
- Load, unload, service, guide, and direct customer aircraft safely and efficiently
- ensure the safety of customers' baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather and potential damage
- lift, load/unload, sort and transfer baggage, airmail, freight, and materials into and out of aircraft bins and equipment
- operate pushback equipment with visual direction from Wing Walkers to maintain a safe environment
- receive and accurately record customer baggage and freight shipments
- transport cargo and baggage between aircraft and terminals while maintaining thorough documentation
- drive motorized equipment such as belt loaders and pushback tugs, and perform manual handling of baggage carts
- complete necessary paperwork and data entry as required by daily operations
- perform additional duties as assigned, utilizing your skill set in line with job expectations
