Job Requirements
- HS graduate or equivalent
- current valid driver's license
- ability to pass FAA required airport driver's test within 60 days of employment
- ability to be on emergency call 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- ability to operate construction and snow removal equipment
- physical ability to perform maintenance tasks
- willingness to work regular 40-hour first shift
- reliable and safety conscious work ethic
Job Qualifications
- HS graduate or equivalent or equivalent education and experience
- current valid driver's license
- ability to pass FAA required airport driver's test within 60 days of employment
- commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred
- knowledge of AAAE Basic ASOS preferred
- familiarity with Federal Air Regulation Parts 36, 77, 14 CFR Part 139, and 150 series Advisory Circulars preferred
- working knowledge of general trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical
Job Duties
- Performs facility maintenance activities at the University Airport as required for an FAA certificated airport
- conducts airfield inspections and maintenance
- conducts building inspections and maintenance
- conducts airport grounds inspections and maintenance
- assists with vehicle inspections and maintenance
- assists with security and public safety functions
- operates various construction equipment and vehicles
- operates snow removal equipment pertaining to runways, taxiways, and airport grounds
- assists with special events at the airport
