Job Requirements
- Complete an assessment evaluating adaptability, customer service, and safety orientation
- Able to travel and work variable hours including holidays and weekends
- Must pass a ten year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country
- Depending on location, possess and maintain a valid Driver License and meet insurance standards
- Depending on location, acquire and maintain United States Customs Clearance
- Available for overnight travel
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to work flexible shifts including holidays, weekends, and overnight
- Able to make occasional trips for training or temporary assignment
- Uphold JetBlue's safety values and report safety/security concerns
- The use of automated tools during the interview process is prohibited
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED diploma
- At least eighteen years old
- One year of customer service, volunteer, or sales experience
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
- Complete fluency in written and spoken English
- Able to use a mouse, computer, keyboard and basic office applications
- Able to use handheld radios and microphones
- Able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Experience performing under pressure and within fixed time constraints
- Must adhere to JetBlue Uniform Policy Manual Standards
- Authorization to work in the US
- For internal candidates, good standing in attendance, performance, and safety
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Conduct check-in process for customers via computer
- Verify customers' personal identification
- Tag, lift, and handle customer luggage
- Announce flight arrivals, departures, and pre-boarding information via the public address system
- Communicate with customers to keep them informed
- Offer ancillary products to customers such as 'even more speed' and 'even more space'
- Coordinate duties with coworkers and other departments
- Help prepare aircraft cabin for boarding and departure including light cleaning
- Operate airport equipment such as jet bridge, turbo way, and airstairs
- Assist customers with special needs
- Rotate through all airport operations functions
- Ensure and maintain a safe environment and operation
- Perform other duties as assigned
