The company operates with a focus on fairness, respect, and belonging, ensuring that its workforce reflects diverse backgrounds and perspectives, which it believes strengthens the team and drives innovation across its global network.

The role of Airport Lounge Wait Staff at Sodexo is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the UNITED CLUB in Phoenix (PHX). This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.00 and requires flexibility in shift availability to meet the dynamic needs of an airport lounge environment. As a key representative of Sodexo within the airport lounge, the wait staff member plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by providing attentive, professional, and efficient service.

This position involves greeting guests warmly upon arrival, presenting menus, and introducing daily specials or updates to enhance the guest experience. The wait staff will expertly guide customers through meal and beverage options, including detailed knowledge of menu items, potential allergens, and recommended pairings such as wines. Accurate and timely order taking is critical, alongside confirming orders with guests and forwarding these to the kitchen to ensure smooth operations and excellent meal presentation. The Airport Lounge Wait Staff member continually monitors guest needs, responding proactively to requests and handling any concerns with professionalism and care.

Physical stamina is essential for this role, as it involves significant walking or other forms of mobility throughout the shift, which can last over eight hours. The job also requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive motions, and maintain attentiveness throughout the shift. The environment is fast-paced and requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Sodexo offers a flexible and supportive work environment that values work-life balance and provides access to ongoing training and development opportunities to help employees advance their careers. Employees are supported through a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) retirement plans, discount programs, and more. Additionally, depending on the location, benefits such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation assistance may be available.
