Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- ability to navigate electronic devices such as computers, fax machines, printers, and timeclocks
- capable of processing information in a timely manner
- able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
- must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment
- must clear a FBI fingerprint background check
- must be physically fit to perform duties including standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
- capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
- willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noises
- flexible to work variable shifts including weekends, holidays, and extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation
- previous ramp or airline experience
- ability to navigate electronic devices such as computers, fax machines, printers, and timeclocks
- basic computer literacy
- able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
- successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment
- clear FBI fingerprint background check
Job Duties
- Report to work on a regular and timely basis
- clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming
- gather trash and empty cans
- service, clean, and supply restrooms
- clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners
- dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment as well as polish furniture and fixtures
- mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
- steam-clean and shampoo carpets
- strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
- operate vehicles and/or equipment required to perform or travel to cleaning sites
- requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent infestations
- use cognitive skills to check condition, clean, sort, count, salvage, and/or store equipment
- work independently or as part of a team without direct supervision
