Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- must be at least 18 years of age
- valid driver's license required and must be maintained
- ability to navigate electronic devices such as computers, fax machines, printers, and timeclock
- experience and understanding of commercial aviation issues
- basic computer literacy
- previous ramp or airline experience
- must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications
- must clear FBI fingerprint background check
- able to proficiently speak, read, and write English
- able to process information in a timely manner
- physically fit to perform job duties including standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
- capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
- willing to work outside in all weather conditions and exposure to loud noises
- flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours on short notice
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- basic computer literacy
- previous ramp or airline experience preferred
- ability to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
- able to follow safety procedures and use cleaning equipment properly
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles
- ability to maintain certifications and complete training
- able to handle physical demands of the job
- flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Report to work on a regular and timely basis
- clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming
- gather trash and empty cans, service, clean, and supply restrooms
- clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and tools
- dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- mix water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions
- follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment use to prevent damage
- steam-clean and shampoo carpets
- strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
- move freely and work in confined spaces for hand cleaning
- operate vehicles and/or equipment required for cleaning and transport
- requisition supplies and equipment for duties
- spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent infestations
- use cognitive skills to check, clean, sort, count, salvage, and/or store equipment
- work independently or as part of a team without direct supervision
