The role of Curbside Concierge - Airline Check-in Agent plays a vital part within this mission. This position is predominantly based at busy airport curbside locations, working closely with airline passengers to assist in checking their luggage and issuing boarding passes efficiently and securely. A typical day includes greeting guests warmly, confirming flight itineraries and luggage details, securely tagging luggage, processing payments for baggage fees, and providing passengers with boarding passes and luggage claim tickets. These responsibilities ensure that travelers receive exceptional service while adhering to strict regulatory standards, including those set forth by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

This role is highly customer-facing and requires the agent to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Curbside Concierge must be rigorously trained in safety, security, dangerous goods, and hazardous materials protocols. Employees receive annual training to stay current with these critical standards, ensuring safety and compliance at all times. Because this role requires working in various weather conditions and entails physical activity such as lifting and pushing luggage carts weighing up to 100 pounds, candidates must possess a strong level of physical fitness and stamina.

This hourly position offers a wage starting at $11.00 per hour plus tips, providing an opportunity to earn additional income based on performance and guest interaction. Job Requirements

  • Follow company appearance guidelines
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Able to push luggage cages weighing up to approximately 100 pounds
  • Work outdoors 100 percent of the time in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours continuously
  • Regularly lift, carry, reach, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
  • Occasionally bend, squat, and kneel
  • Ability to walk approximately 50 percent of the shift
  • Maintain a professional business-like image
  • Clean shaven for men except fully-grown facial hair
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings unless covered
  • Wear clean and approved uniforms during shifts
  • Meet additional appearance requirements as specified by management

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work early morning rotation
  • At least six months experience in face-to-face guest service preferred
  • Data entry and/or computer experience preferred
  • Clear communication skills with guests and clients
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment criminal background screening
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests as they approach the desk
  • Assist guests with luggage check-in verifying flight itinerary and bag count
  • Input guest information for new check-ins
  • Process bag check-ins including charging credit cards as required
  • Weigh bags to ensure compliance with weight limits and charge overweight fees
  • Tag luggage appropriately with destination tags
  • Provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts to guests
  • Secure luggage immediately upon processing
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
  • Keep a positive, friendly, and professional manner
  • Organize and stock the concierge desk
  • Manage payments received from guests
  • Answer telephones and guest inquiries
  • Perform simple addition for transaction accuracy
