Job Requirements
- Must successfully pass pre-employment criminal background screening
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing process
- Ability to work in outside weather conditions required
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and push luggage cages up to approximately 100 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time
- Must comply with company appearance guidelines including being clean shaven if male (except fully-grown mustache, beard, or goatee)
- No visible tattoos or body piercings unless covered by uniform or approved management means
- Clean and well-maintained approved uniforms must be worn on shift
- Must be able to manage payments and basic arithmetic
- Will regularly be required to lift, carry, reach, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
- Will occasionally be required to bend, squat, and kneel
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in early morning rotations
- At least 6 months experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred
- Data entry and/or computer experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
- Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Greet guests immediately and warmly as they approach the desk
- Assist guests with check-in of luggage to appropriate airlines and verify flight itineraries and bag counts
- Input guest information for those not previously enrolled in the check-in process
- Process check-in of guests’ bags including charging credit cards as per airline requirements
- Weigh guests’ bags to verify appropriate weight and charge for overweight bags
- Tag guest luggage with destination tags appropriately
- Provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts to guests
- Secure luggage immediately upon acceptance and completion of processing
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Uphold a positive, friendly, and professional manner at all times
- Organize and stock the concierge desk
- Follow clients' guest service guidelines and values
- Manage credit card payments received from guests
- Answer telephones and respond to guest questions
- Perform simple addition as needed
