Job Requirements

  • Follow company appearance guidelines
  • ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • ability to push luggage cages weighing up to 100 pounds
  • ability to stand for up to eight hours
  • work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain and humidity
  • tolerate continuous vehicle and crowd noise
  • ability to frequently lift, carry, reach, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
  • occasionally bend, squat, kneel
  • walking required for up to 50 percent of the time
  • maintain a professional, business-like image
  • clean shaven if male except for full mustache, beard, or goatee
  • no visible tattoos or piercings unless covered
  • wear clean and well-maintained approved uniforms
  • pass all security and training requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work early morning shifts
  • at least six months face-to-face guest service experience preferred
  • data entry and computer experience preferred
  • clear communication skills
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • knowledge of airline or travel industry preferred
  • eligible to work in the United States
  • ability to pass pre-employment criminal background screening
  • ability to pass pre-employment drug testing

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests as they approach the desk
  • assist guests with check-in of luggage to appropriate airlines
  • verify guest flight itineraries and number of bags
  • input guest information for first-time users
  • process check-in of bags including payment charging
  • weigh bags and charge for overweight items
  • tag guest luggage appropriately with destination tags
  • provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts
  • secure luggage immediately after processing
  • maintain excellent verbal and written communication
  • uphold a positive, friendly, and professional manner
  • organize and stock the concierge desk
  • adhere to guest service guidelines and values
  • manage payments from guests
  • answer telephones and respond to guest questions
  • perform simple addition for transaction handling
