Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in major airport terminal handling communication activities or related facility communications
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances
  • Willingness to work shift schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle occasional stooping, bending, and light lifting
  • Ability to operate multiple communication equipment and monitor various systems
  • Must be able to perform well under pressure
  • U.S. citizenship or legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in airport terminal communications or related communication equipment handling
  • Ability to monitor multiple screens and manage communications effectively
  • Experience in medium to high volume dispatch or call center preferred
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems is a plus
  • Certification in NIMS IS-100, NIMS IS-200, TCLEOSE or TCOLE, A.A.A.E ACE certification preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook required
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite is desirable

Job Duties

  • Operate the airport telephone exchange system including public address and TDD systems
  • Provide routine information to customers about airline arrivals and departures, traffic conditions, parking, lost luggage, and emergencies, maintaining a daily call log
  • Receive and direct public calls to appropriate parties for issues such as lost or locked vehicles, tows, airport injuries, and maintenance calls
  • Broadcast information to airport and tenant personnel regarding emergencies and hazardous conditions as specified in emergency procedures
  • Enter and update airline schedules, flight data, gate and baggage assignments in the information display system
  • Monitor access control systems to prevent unauthorized access to secure airport areas and notify authorities of civil defense alerts
  • Relay repair service information for malfunctioning equipment and update maintenance tracking systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
