Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of relevant communication experience at a major airport terminal or related facility
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances
- Willingness to work shift work including rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to monitor multiple communication and alarm systems
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a major airport terminal handling communications or related facility communication equipment
- Experience in medium to high volume dispatch or call center preferred
- Knowledge of monitoring multiple screens preferred
- Certification in NIMS IS-100, NIMS IS-200, TCLEOSE or TCOLE, or A.A.A.E ACE preferred
- Proficient in MS Outlook preferred
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite a plus
Job Duties
- Operate airport telephone exchange system including public address and TDD
- Provide routine information to customers about arrivals, departures, traffic, parking, and emergencies
- Receive and direct public calls for lost vehicles, injuries, tows, and maintenance issues
- Broadcast information regarding aircraft emergencies and hazardous conditions
- Enter and update airline schedules, gate assignments, and baggage carousel information
- Monitor access control systems to prevent unauthorized access to secure areas
- Relay information and coordinate repair services for airport facilities and equipment
