Job Requirements
- possession of a usaaf pilot rating
- valid aviation service aeronautical order
- minimum 750 total military flight hours for gs-2181-12
- minimum 1,000 total military flight hours for gs-2181-13
- minimum 1,200 total military flight hours and 2 years progressive flying experience for gs-2181-13 flight instructor
- minimum 1,500 total military flight hours and 3 years progressive flying experience for gs-2181-14 flight instructor
- submission of ata for-209 form or official flying history report
- maintain military membership in air force reserve
- meet age height weight and physical fitness standards
- willingness to perform military duties and wear uniform
- agreement to annual active duty tours
- ability to comply with mobilization requirements
Job Qualifications
- usaf pilot rating
- hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
- minimum total military flight time in mission design series as per grade level
- progressive flying experience within the US military flying component for instructor roles
- ability to maintain military membership in the Air Force Reserve
- completion of necessary flight documentation and proof of recent flight activity
Job Duties
- operate and pilot assigned aircraft safely and professionally
- conduct flight training and instruction for pilots and aircrew
- maintain strict adherence to flight and safety regulations
- participate in military drills and active duty mobilizations as required
- prepare detailed flight and mission reports
- uphold military fitness and readiness standards
- coordinate with military and civilian teams to support mission objectives
