Job Requirements

  • Must possess USAF Pilot rating
  • Hold valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • Meet minimum military flight hours in organization's mission design series
  • Submit official flight documentation (ATAFR-209 Form or equivalent)
  • Meet military membership requirements for Air Force Reserve
  • Comply with age, height, weight, and fitness standards
  • Provide transcripts if qualifying through education
  • Submit statement of service or DD214 if terminal leave applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Possess USAF Pilot rating
  • Hold valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • Meet flight hour requirements per GS level (750-1,500 hours)
  • Demonstrate progressively responsible flying experience for instructor roles
  • Experience qualifying for Wing Operations and Training Officer position or equivalent
  • Provide official documentation verifying flight hours and recent flight activity
  • Accredited education or applicable foreign education equivalency
  • Ability to meet physical fitness and military uniform requirements

Job Duties

  • Maintain and operate aircraft in accordance with Air Force standards
  • Conduct flight missions including training, evaluation, and operational sorties
  • Serve as flight instructor providing mentorship and training to less experienced pilots
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and operational protocols
  • Prepare and maintain accurate flight records and documentation
  • Participate in active military duty tours when required
  • Support Wing Operations and Training Officer duties as required
