Job Requirements

  • must possess a USAF Pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • meet minimum total military flight time in mission design series specific to position (750-1500 hours)
  • submit official documentation verifying flight hours and recent flight activity
  • meet military physical fitness standards
  • maintain military membership in the Air Force Reserve
  • comply with uniform and job-specific military specialty requirements
  • ability to undergo mobilization and active duty assignments
  • provide transcripts if education is used to qualify
  • demonstrate honorable discharge status if applicable
  • eligible for Air Force Reserve membership
  • able to balance dual civilian and military roles

Job Qualifications

  • possession of a valid USAF Pilot rating
  • holding a valid aviation service aeronautical order

  • progressive flying experience for instructor positions
  • experience qualifying for wing operations and training officer roles
  • compliance with military age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards

  • strong leadership and instructional skills for instructor roles

Job Duties

  • operate aircraft safely and effectively during various missions
  • conduct training flights and instruct personnel as required
  • maintain flight readiness and adhere to Air Force Reserve aviation standards
  • complete required military and civilian documentation and reporting
  • participate in unit operations and assist in mission planning
  • comply with physical fitness and military uniform regulations
  • support mobilization and deployment operations as needed
