Sodexo's Airline Lounge Segment presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join their elite team at the Alaska Airlines Lounge located in Portland International Airport, Portland, OR. This full-time, hourly position offers a chance not only to lead culinary operations but also to contribute to creating an upscale travel experience within a thoughtfully designed lounge oasis. The ideal candidate is someone with extensive knowledge of eclectic menus and upscale culinary experiences, alongside a robust background in high-volume catering and event execution.
This hands-on role demands expertise in managing upscale food production efficiently while maintaining the highest culinary standards. Responsibilities include purchasing management, menu compliance, inventory control, food cost analysis, and forecasting food production needs. The Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager will ensure compliance with Sodexo's culinary standards, focusing on recipe adherence and food quality, and will play a key role in motivating and developing the culinary team to uphold culinary policies and procedures. Additionally, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards must be strictly observed and promoted throughout the kitchen. Familiarity with automated inventory, ordering, production, and management systems is essential to thriving in this role.
The position offers a competitive salary that is fairly determined based on the candidate's education, skills, and relevant experience.
