This particular role is with Sodexo Live!'s Airport Lounge segment at the prestigious American Express Centurion Lounge located in Charlotte International Airport, North Carolina. This exclusive lounge brand provides top-tier amenities and enhanced premium food and beverage offerings to its elite guests, making this position critical to maintaining the brand's high standards. As the Executive Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager, you will play a pivotal role by leading culinary operations and ensuring food quality and consistency meet Sodexo's exacting standards.
The position requires a manager who has prior culinary supervisory and management experience, combined with hands-on food production skills. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this role demands strong leadership capabilities involved in purchasing, inventory control, menu compliance, food production forecasting, and the supervision of large-scale batch cooking.
You will be instrumental in developing and motivating your culinary team to embrace innovation while adhering rigorously to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols. Familiarity with automated systems related to food inventory and production management will be essential for success in this position. Job Requirements
- associate's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 2 years management experience
- minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services
- ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays
- strong leadership and communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- hands-on food production experience
Job Qualifications
- associate's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 2 years management experience
- minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services
- supervisory culinary background in hotel banquets, country clubs or upscale restaurants

Job Duties
- be responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking
- supervision of large-scale batch cooking
- ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
- have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
- ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
- have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
